Fresh Valley Farms began in 1923, when Bill Meggait bought the original 154 acres. Four generations of the family have worked the land since.
Steve Meggait and Annelise Grube-Cavers are the fourth generation, and their two children are the fifth. They raise grass-fed beef, heritage pork and pastured chicken using regenerative organic practices, rotational grazing and solar power. Certification is through the North Okanagan Organic Association.
Two things come through the shop: certified organic eggs, and a mixed meat bundle. The bundle is the simplest way to get pasture-raised meat into the freezer without ordering a whole animal.
