About Mara Valley Produce

Mark and Carolyn Uher established Mara Valley Produce in 2015 on twenty acres of river-bottom land along the Shuswap River, a few minutes from the Nature Delivered home farm in Grindrod.

They grow more than forty certified organic vegetable crops and berries, certified through the North Okanagan Organic Association, and sell through farmers markets, restaurants, wholesalers and organic box programmes from Kelowna through to Revelstoke.

Alliums are the backbone of what arrives here. Red, yellow and sweet onions, shallots, fresh garlic and garlic scapes in early summer. Alongside those come red and caraflex cabbage, butternut squash, sunchokes, curly kale and sweet corn in season.

Why we work with them

Mark and Carolyn farm river-bottom land a few minutes from our own fields, so we see this ground through the whole season rather than just at delivery.

Their onions, garlic and shallots are the backbone of a lot of what our customers cook with through the winter, and they keep. We have come to rely on this farm for the things that need to be right every single week.
