About Stoke the Fire

Stu Smith and Sarah Harper started out growing peppers as a backyard project in Revelstoke. In 2024 they moved the farm and the production to Cawston to expand.

They grow around forty-five pepper varieties across fields and greenhouses, and bottle everything on site under a seed-to-bottle model.

The shop carries the sauces rather than the peppers: Bear Spray, Life's a Peach, Garlic Jalapeno and a spicy garlic syrup, plus a three-sauce pack that makes a good gift. After the home farm, this is the largest supplier in the shop.

Why we work with them

Stu and Sarah grow the peppers and bottle the sauce themselves, on the same site. Seed to bottle is a claim a lot of makers would like to make and very few can.

Around forty-five pepper varieties is a serious amount of work for a small operation. Our customers came back for these fast enough that they are now one of the biggest things we carry.
