Have you tried the Sunrise Apple? It was actually developed at the Summerland Research Station using traditional crossbreeding techniques between MacIntosh and Golden Delicious apples. It has yellow-green skin with a red blush, and has a sweet and tart flavour - nice and crisp! Apple season begins!
