Certified Organic Honeycrisp Apples — Rupee's Organic Orchard

There's a reason Honeycrisp apples have such a devoted following. They're exceptionally crisp and juicy, with a sweet-tart flavour that makes them one of the best apples for eating straight out of your hand.

These Honeycrisps are Certified Organic and grown by Rupee's Organic Orchard in Cawston, BC, where the warm days and cool nights of the Similkameen Valley are ideal for growing beautiful BC tree fruit.

Why You’ll Love Them

  • Certified Organic

  • Grown in Cawston, BC

  • Exceptionally crisp and juicy

  • Balanced sweet-tart flavour

  • Fantastic for fresh eating

  • A favourite for lunchboxes and snacks

Great For

Eating straight from the fridge, lunchboxes, sliced with peanut or almond butter, cheese boards, salads, oatmeal and baking.

Honeycrisp are particularly good anywhere you want the apple to stay crisp and provide some crunch, like salads or snack plates.

Storage

Keep Honeycrisp apples refrigerated in the crisper drawer to maintain their signature crunch and juiciness.

Apples continue to ripen after harvest, so leaving them on the counter will shorten their storage life considerably. Take out a few at a time if you prefer eating your apples closer to room temperature.

Build Your Basket

Add local cheese or nut butter for easy snacks, or pair with carrots and other sturdy fruits and vegetables for grab-and-go lunches throughout the week.

Good to Know

Honeycrisp's famous crunch isn't just good marketing. The variety was specifically selected for its unusual texture: its cells are larger than those of many other apples and rupture when you bite into them, releasing plenty of juice and creating that distinctive crisp bite.

Honeycrisp can also be a challenging apple for growers. The trees can be finicky, fruit needs careful handling, and the apples are susceptible to several growing and storage problems. There's a lot more work behind that perfect crunchy apple than you might guess.

How to Stretch This

Honeycrisp are so good fresh that we'd eat the nicest ones as they are. If a few linger long enough to lose their crunch, use them in oatmeal, muffins, apple crisp or applesauce rather than letting them go to waste.
