Certified Organic Arizona Yellow Potatoes — 2 lb

Certified Organic Arizona potatoes grown on our farm in Grindrod, BC. This yellow potato variety has smooth yellow skin, light-yellow flesh and a delicious, versatile texture that makes it an easy everyday potato to keep on hand.

Arizona is an early-season variety that we grow for its beautiful, fairly uniform tubers and excellent eating quality. Now that the potatoes have been cured for storage, their skins are a little more developed than when they first came out of the ground, helping them keep well while still giving you that lovely yellow-fleshed potato inside.

Why You’ll Love Them

  • Smooth yellow skin and light-yellow flesh

  • Excellent all-purpose potato

  • Good storage qualities

  • Certified Organic and grown on our farm in Grindrod, BC

  • Easy to use in everyday meals

Great For

Roasting, boiling, mashing, soups, stews, potato salad, sheet-pan dinners and breakfast potatoes. They're a great choice when you simply want one bag of potatoes that can handle whatever you're making that week.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight. Keep potatoes separate from onions, as storing the two together can shorten their storage life.

Arizona naturally has good dormancy for an early potato variety, making it well suited to storage.

Build Your Basket

Add carrots, onions and garlic for the beginning of countless easy meals, or pair with green beans and fresh herbs for a simple warm potato salad.

Good to Know

Arizona is the name of the potato variety—not where they're grown! Ours are grown right here at Shuswap Organics in Grindrod, BC.

Arizona potatoes were bred as an early-maturing yellow table potato, producing smooth, oval tubers with shallow eyes and light-yellow flesh. The variety also has surprisingly good storage characteristics for an early potato, which is one of the reasons we like growing it.

How to Stretch This

Cook a few extra potatoes whenever you're making dinner. Refrigerate the leftovers and you've already done half the work for another meal: slice them into breakfast potatoes, crisp them in a frying pan, turn them into potato salad, or smash and roast them until golden.
